Yes2Yoga Whole School Wellbeing Program

Description: Our most popular program we run here at Yes2Yoga. It has a whole school approach held over 1 term that includes a session a week for all students. Daily strategies and reflection are then incorporated during the term in the classroom. This has had a big impact to the total overall wellbeing in schools.

Yoga and Wellbeing Program

Description: This program complements and is integrated into any wellbeing unit of work for any year level. It can be a specific number of weeks to run the program or just a one off incursion is also available. These classes are fun, interactive, include movement and mindfulness strategies that can be utilised later in the classroom.

Physical Education Yes2Yoga Program

Description:  Yes2Yoga can come in to the school and run a PE unit that covers a vast area of the PE curriculum. Teachers can choose what areas they want covered from both Movement & Physical Activity and Personal, Emotional & Community Health. Alternatively teachers can run with the comprehensive program already carefully written & designed by Yes2Yoga. Teachers can continue to use the Yoga sequences learnt for future lessons if required. 

Whole day workshops

Description: This is a more in depth program where the students will have a whole day to explore many aspects of their wellbeing. They will learn yoga and mindfulness strategies that they can turn to if needed leaving with a ‘Wellbeing BackPack’ of tools. This will help to recognise when they need help and what to do in these situations.

NAPLAN Ready Program

Description: This is perfect for the lead up to NAPLAN as yoga and mindfulness strategies are taught and implemented.  The strategies can then be used on the days of NAPLAN for a more calm, stress free classroom and child. Children will have these tools to then use in any situation when they maybe feeling anxious or worried. Examples such as the lead up to a sporting final, a move of house, meeting new people or public speaking.

Transition Program

Description: This is one of the most specialised programs offered at Yes2Yoga and is focused on giving the Year 6 children the tools and strategies needed for a successful transition into high school. The children will learn to confront any fears they have and are taught numerous mindfulness techniques that are proven to work when in need of calming the nervous system. They are taught meditation skills and simple ‘tricks’ they can implement at any time to deal with situations. They will learn about the way their brain works and why they react in the way they do in certain situations. They will feel the difference that they can make, it is a powerful program that they will be able to have for life long learning and growth.

Exploring Leadership Through Yoga  (for Years 5 & 6)

Description: These leadership programs are designed for 2 hrs., half day or full days sessions modified for your school/students needs. The programs are linked succinctly to the school curriculum and are for all students, not just those with the ‘Badge.’

Students will go through a yoga session to understand the impact that movement can have on their wellbeing. Learn new tools and strategies to use in various moments such as feelings of anxiety, confrontation or just in need of some serious focus. We delve into what are our strengths are as a leader and what leadership qualities we need to work on and develop. All students will come away with a clear goal and focus for their final years at Primary School.

They will also learn successful strategies like how to recognise & calm their own behavior. To realise the impact it has on what they are trying to achieve and the behaviour of others. Teachers can then clearly see what each student is trying to achieve throughout the year and follow their progress. There are also follow up sessions available to reassess and develop further growth.
